Topic/Skill: Listening/ Thanksgiving Traditions (Friends)

Feedback provided to the tutee: This session was more about listening and catching up on new American slang, as well as listening comprehension. The only feedback that I provided was on pronunciation. We reviewed how sometimes the "a" and the "i" change sound depending on the previous/following letters (example, live and like). The rest of the feedback was pocitive since she was comprehending the dialogues in the video well.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or tutee:  We both learned that building vocabulary it's best when watching the video. I built the vocabulary but it was words she already new, but there were other words she did not know. So next time I would provide a bsaic vocavulary and we will build out own by watching the video to see what words she needs clearance on.

Date/Time: November 3, 2023 Location: Student Union Topic/Skill: Scenario - Speaking Feedback provided to the tutee: In the beginning, I opened up a conversation about food, like traditional food, preferences, etc. Then I taught a couple of things like greetings, present simple tense, and the auxiliary "would." We also focused on some vocabulary relating to food before ending with a role-play play of ordering some food at Starbucks.
