    Topic/Skill: Descriptions (Games and presentation)

Teacher Presentation: The instructor began the class with a game of 'Guess Who' where students had to describe a character and the other student would have to guess who it was based off of their descriptions. The instructor then modeled how to give a descriptive presentation using a topic he was familiar with which was traditional U.S. southern food. He assigned the students homework to make a descriptive presentation that they'd have to present in front of the class.

Classroom Management: At the beginning, he asked the students for a recap of the last class and the topic. The instructor did a group activity with the students on the board which consisted of True/False questions and fixing grammar mistakes in prewritten sentences by the instructor based off his presentation on traditional U.S. southern food. The instructor got other students to help those who may be struggling with the activity, focusing primarily on the sentence structure portion. He walks around the classroom while students do work and if any students are struggling he always offers to help.

Materials: Guess Who board game, whiteboard, PowerPoint, description presentation handout

Student Participation: Students would help each other with the group activity, they gave a recap of the last lesson at the beginning of the class and they answered all of the instructors questions based on his presentation.

Feedback Provided: The instructor would provide feedback based on their sentence structure and their speaking ability. He was very positive and always encouraged his students to keep trying even if they got the answer wrong.

Lessons on teaching you learned: How to encourage students to feel more confident in their speaking skills. He also made students say their answers out loud to try to catch their mistakes and give them the chance to fix it themselves which I think is a great teaching method.
