Topic/Skill: Pronunciation and listening skills

Feedback provided to tutee: Just like last week, most of my feedback was implicit corrective feedback on pronunciation. as well as teaching new unfamiliar vocabulary words/phrases that would pop up in the conversation through context clues. I also taught her some idioms and slang expressions that came up during the conversation.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or tutee: I learned that relevance is a big part of learning when it comes to ESL. Students will be more naturally inclined to discuss topics and viewpoints that interest them, and will be more willing to explore new topics once they've discussed their preferences first.
