Topic/Skill: Listening comprehension

Feedback provided to tutee: After listening to the podcast, I asked Sujin some extensive comprehension questions, including her opinions and main ideas.

Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or tutee: I learned that having a discussion on the topic, providing listening materials to students and then having a second discussion following that exercise leads to improved schemas and better conversation the second time around. Allow students to form their schemas!

For feedback, I said that there were 1 or 2 mistakes relating to verb tense but pronunciation, speech rate, and vocabulary were very good. Date/Time: November 3, 2023 Location: Student Union Topic/Skill: Scenario - Speaking Feedback provided to the tutee: In the beginning, I opened up a conversation about food, like traditional food, preferences, etc. Then I taught a couple of things like greetings, present simple tense, and the auxiliary "would." We also focused on some vocabulary relating to food before ending with a role-play play of ordering some food at Starbucks.
